Sure, she travels a lot and shares her journey with her fans, but she’s also a software engineer behind the scenes. If that’s not versatile, we don’t know what is!

]]>Hashtags are a fantastic tool that allow you to target your posts, reach a greater audience, and make inroads into the type of travel content that you share on social media. Let’s take a look at why and how you can tailor the hashtags you use.
These “tags” on photos, used by adding a word or phrase after the # sign, are a tool that you can use to your heart’s content, adding as many as you like to your posts which are relevant to your profile or the pictures you share.
If you’re a travel blogger, use relevant hashtags such as #travelblogger or #travelblog to make users who are interested in seeing posts from users like you drawn to your feed.
Also, if you are visiting a certain place or photographing a certain type of “scene,” using hashtags that are commonly used with pictures of this place or thing are another fantastic way to have other users discover your profile as they look for posts related to this hashtag.
Learn to use hashtags, and you will find your follower base and readership grow exponentially. It’s a great tool to be an expert in!

]]>Traveling to some of the most stunning places across the globe, Karafin shares beautiful photos, where she can be seen sporting some stylish outfits. “Traveling alone takes resilience and an open mind,” she admits in one blog post. “It takes courage and stepping out of your comfort zone,” she notes, adding that traveling solo is something everyone should do at least once in their lives.
According to Karafin, traveling solo teaches you how to be comfortable with yourself, appreciate silence, and most importantly—uncover the deep ends of your cognitive spectrum.
“The biggest excuse I hear all the time is, ‘I really want to share my experiences with someone else, that’s why I’d never travel alone,'” she writes. “You don’t always have to share your experiences with someone else—you’d be shocked to discover how different your surroundings are when you see them through your own lenses without anyone else’s two cents.”
With travel being a full-time gig, she creates content for various brands in the travel and lifestyle arenas. But she also leaves space for some charity work. This year, writes Karafin on her website, she’s focusing more on humanitarian efforts, leading various philanthropic initiatives to help children in underserved communities, and running a charity for underprivileged kids with cancer.
With an impressive following on Instagram, the hype is real!

A passionate traveler, in an interview with Travel Coterie she admitted travel has enhanced who she already was deep inside. “It’s made me more confident and self-assured, allowed me to be more compassionate towards others and expanded my ability to look at the bigger picture in life,” said Murray.
“It’s also blessed me with the ability to speak multiple languages, which has changed my life for the better. I have some friends who don’t even speak English that I couldn’t have connected with if it weren’t for travel!”

As the author of the award-winning travel blog “Oneika the Traveller,” she is the recipient of a Gold Medal in the 2018 SATW Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition for Best Travel Blog and was also named Wanderful’s 2019 Creator of the Year. But incredibly enough, she didn’t grow up traveling but discovered a passion for it quite later in life.
“I grew up in Toronto in an immigrant family—my parents were born and raised in Jamaica,” she recalled in an interview with Passion Passport. “We didn’t really have much of a culture of travel.”
It was only during her studies in university that she took a leap of faith. “Eventually I realized it was travel that was really feeding me. It wasn’t necessarily the idea of being away from home, but the idea of discovering, of learning something new every day, of stretching my boundaries and living outside of my comfort zone—that’s what I really enjoyed.”
Now, her platform means she gets to reach others and inspire them to live a more adventuress life. Dedicated to inspiring people of color to see the world, she’s a fierce supporter of women who travel and has keynoted at the Women in Travel Summit, at Women’s Travel Fest.
“In the early 2000s, when I was traveling and writing, there were very few black people doing this online,” she notes. “I got a lot of positive feedback.”

Now, he wants to teach others how to do the same, supporting other influencers is their pursuit of happiness and fame. “Hanging out with other influencers and collaborating with people is usually the best way to reach a new audience,” he shared with Entrepreneur.
“Instagram changes its algorithm so much nowadays, it’s become a lot more complex than when I first started. When I was growing my Instagram following, most of it came from being featured on the Popular Page, which was the same Popular Page no matter where you were in the world.
“In terms of the order that I post stuff, I try to mix it up,” he further explains. “I try not to post tons of photos of one thing in a row. So if I just posted a closeup shot of me doing something, I’d probably then post a wider landscape shot. You have to keep it really mixed rather than post similar shots together. And then also, trying to mix up the colors—like I wouldn’t have three very blue posts together. It’s all a personal choice, but I like looking through my feed and it just being aesthetically pleasing [to] the eye.”
But according to Cole, it all boils down to being passionate about what you do and sharing this passion with your audience. “Come from a place of being passionate about capturing and sharing moments—not straight from this mentality that [you] want to make money or jump straight into having Instagram as a revenue generator or a business,” he says.
“That’s an added bonus if you can get to that stage, but if that’s your initial goal, it could be quite tricky especially if you’re not enjoying what you’re doing. I think the audience can really notice that as well.”

]]>This turned out to be quite the plan. Having spearheaded the movement of living an alternative and international lifestyle, over the years they have cultivated a community of nearly 2M+ social media subscribers.
Their mantra? “When you’re 80 years old, what will matter most is not the latest iPhone you bought, how much you’d stacked your résumé, or how many followers you had on social media. What will matter most is the $100 you spent on a trip to Montréal and became best friends with the twerking performer on the train.” In this regard, their catchphrase “It’s time to shut up and go”, seems pointed enough.
But like most travel influencers, their journey began sort of by chance. “We started making videos mainly because we found it was fun,” they shared with CelebMix. “Nobody really watched them at first besides our friends and family (who we would force to watch), but we enjoyed watching everything we squeezed into our trips—cool, cheap, or free places to go that we thought people should know about. We didn’t see anything like it on television or on YouTube, and that’s when the journey began.”
According to the couple, they also knew that there were tons of people out there who wanted to travel but really just didn’t know how—or who thought they were too broke, or too busy, or too scared. “We knew that because we were friends with these kinds of people,” they explain.
As such, their content is very much relatable, breaking down the know-how of the travel/blogging lifestyle. You’d want to follow them around.
