]]>Did you know that your body get extra dehydrated when you’re on an airplane? This is why it’s super important to drink during the flight. If you don’t want to constantly get up for the bathroom, it’s a good idea to drink something with electrolytes so that it’s easier for your body to absorb the water!
If you like to order a cocktail or wine with dinner while traveling, remember to also order a glass of water! This will help your body recover from a long day of moving and exploring your destination. (Not to mention, drinking water with your cocktails will help reduce the chances of a hangover the next morning!)
Nothing reminds you to drink water throughout the day quite like carrying around a reusable water bottle. Bring a lightweight, easy-to-carry bottle so that you don’t forget to hydrate!

]]>When you get to the cashier, you hear the total and can’t believe how much they’re charging for water and a bag of pretzels. You can avoid this shock (and hit to your wallet) with one simple trick.
Bring your own reusable water bottle.
Many people don’t think to bring their reusable water bottle on vacations, but it can actually save you so much money! Almost every airport has reusable water bottle refill stations, so you’ll get unlimited free water. Just make sure to empty the bottle before you go through security, and refill it after you get through. Bringing your water bottle will also save you money for the rest of the trip, as you can bring it with you wherever you go.
Bringing your own water bottle doesn’t just save you money, it also saves the environment. It’s super important to reduce waste as much as you can, as traveling often encourages more wasteful living. Bringing your own water bottle is a great and easy way to save money and the environment!

]]>This may seem like something obvious. Water is a no-brainer when you’re about to walk around a lot, right? Yes, but we tend to set our eyes on bigger prizes when traveling to foreign places. We assume that since we’re getting lunch at that fancy-looking diner, we’ll get our water fix there. Or perhaps we assume that we’ll get some frozen lemonade, or ice cream, on some exotic boardwalk. We forget about water because it’s just—for lack of a better word—a bit boring in the context of our trip.
But while our eyes are so focused on all the fun and games, it never hurts to have some water to sip on. As we walk from place to place, that extra water intake will make you feel so much better. And when you finally get home after such a long day, you’ll feel a lot healthier knowing that you drank an extra liter of water throughout the process.

Protecting your face and scalp from the sun is extremely important, and with bucket hats back in fashion, it shouldn’t be too hard to do. But if you’re not into that trend, a plain-old cap or a stylish wide brim will do just fine.
Not orange juice, not diet coke, and not piña colada—water. The recommended amount of water you should consume when you spend a few straight hours in the sun is one glass of water every 20 minutes or so. You got this!

]]>Boating is baked into the culture of Newport, whose harbor was the site of tons of boating history including the very first America’s Cup boat race in the 1930s. Today the area has jazz festivals, artisan stalls, fresh fish markets, and great restaurants as well as plenty of boating opportunities.
The French Riviera, or Cote d’Azur, is known as one of the most beautiful spots in the world for well-off boat owners to spend time lounging and shopping. It’s the Mediterranean coast of France, and it’s home to such famous spots as Cannes and Monaco. There are plenty of events here and a place to park all manner of boats as well.
Tahiti and Bora Bora are just two of the best-known Islands in this tropical archipelago, where you can boat around the area and snorkel to view wildlife and coral reefs. There’s also a yearly traditional boat race held by the native tribes of the area.

]]>We can’t stress it enough—don’t drink the tap water. Unlike in the U.S. where it’s sanitary, in Mexico, the water treatment, filtration, and purification standards aren’t as strict and the water can have parasites, bacteria, or viruses.
The only water you should be drinking is bottled, purified water. Hotels offer bottled water or large jugs of purified water and in general, bottled water is cheap in Mexico. If you’re buying from a store or restaurant, request “agua pura,” or “un bote de agua pura”.
If you’re dining at a restaurant or hotel, most touristy ones use ice made from purified water. Be careful when getting ice water from market stands of food stalls, as they don’t always use purified water in their ice.
Many Mexico residents brush their teeth with tap water, but they’ll rinse and spit, not swallow. You can do this, but we advice just using bottled water to brush your teeth. When showering, be sure to keep your mouth closed.
