People who grew up with fair skin understand more than anybody the importance of wearing sun screen. These are the people who learned the hard way just how unforgiving the sun can be, even on days where you least expect it. When you’re traveling the world, it’s quite common to be out in the sun all day. Here’s why it’s so important to wear sun screen during these times.

The (Lack Of) Sun Can Be Deceiving

Perhaps one of the biggest most common reasons of people getting sunburnt is the fact that they don’t see it coming. The sun just doesn’t seem to be shining quite hard that day, and it might even seem a little bit bleak and gloomy! But make no mistake—that’s how the sun gets you. You’re left with a false sense of security, when in reality the sun is still quite present even though it doesn’t seem that way.

You’re Not As Immune As You Think

Many people believe that just because they don’t often get burnt, then that means they aren’t being affected by the sun. But this, too, is far from true because the sun can affect you in a myriad of ways. It can do things to your skin that can lead to ailments, amongst other things, which is why you should always err on the side of caution and wear sun screen when you can.
