Kid-friendly attractions are scattered all around New York City and Coney Island is home to some of the very best. This iconic Brooklyn neighborhood is one of the Big Apple’s ultimate family attractions and here are three spots that make it worth the visit.

Luna Park

Coney Island is best known for being one of the historic amusement park areas in the U.S. and many theme parks were located on its grounds over the decades. Luna Park is the latest to open its doors in 2010 and it offers everything from thrill rides to arcade games and a food court.

Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park

Deno’s is another iconic amusement park that Coney Island is known for and it’s home to one of its most popular landmarks. The Wonder Wheel has been around since 1920 and a visit to Coney Island is incomplete if you don’t take a ride on this 150-foot wheel. Many other rides were introduced since the 50s, but the Wonder Wheel remains its main attraction.

New York Aquarium

Coney Island also happens to be home to the oldest continually operating aquarium in the United States. It hosts daily sea lion shows and exhibits on marine life, with 266 species of aquatic wildlife on its premises.
