Disney parks are among the most popular destinations in the entire world. There are a solid handful of them that you can visit across the globe, but by far the most well-known location is in Orlando, Florida. And yet, we’re here to talk about a different Disneyland location. While so much of the focus goes to Orlando’s lofty Disney parks, we’d like to shed light on the Disney park that started it all: Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

California Dreamin’

Indeed, the very first Disney park was in bright and sunny Southern California, thousands of miles away from the muggy swamps of Florida. Everything you know about Disney parks today stemmed from the inspiration of the very first park in Anaheim, from the costume-clad actors to the musical rides.

Memorable Attractions

Speaking of rides, while it may not boast the same quantity of attractions you may see in Orlando’s Disney World, Anaheim’s Disneyland has Space Mountain, the Matterhorn, It’s a Small World, and of course Splash Mountain. These rides are just the tip of the iceberg because there are also countless rides for children, including classics such as Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, the Pinocchio Ride, the Teacups, and many more.
